Periodic care may be required a couple of times a year; it depends on how much debris is landing on the guards.
A simple way to clean off gutter guards is to use a gutter guard brush sold as an attachment for an extension pole. Simply screw on the brush head and sweep debris away.

While pollen can be one of the few things to clog a gutter guard, the products we use are designed with this in mind.
The LeafBlaster Pro uses a 30mesh (30x30 holes per square inch) which is more effective than the other leading brands at allowing pollen to travel through. If a clog does occur, simply use a gutter guard brush to break it up.

The short answer is yes, moss can grow on gutter guards. Moss can grow on just about anything unless it’s made of copper or zinc.
One way to positively identify that moss is growing on the gutter guards is if moss is already growing on your roof, you can expect it to spread to the gutters.
To remove it, simply use a cleaning solution that can be found in hardware stores. We always recommend homeowners speak with a professional for their advice beforehand.

Yes, gutter guards are designed to handle heavy rain.
However, sometimes the corners inside the gutters (called miters) can slow down the water flow, causing flooding and overflowing of gutters. If this has occurred more than once, it may be a good idea to consider installing a perforated rainwater diverter. A diverter helps provide a more precise and smooth pathway for rainwater to exit the gutter efficiently.
Ask us about diverters and if we think you could benefit from them!
